Manhattan Gastroenterology has a full-time, outpatient, private practice employment opportunity for an energetic Nurse Practitioner with experience in Gastroenterology to join our well-established and reputable team. Our offices are conveniently located in Manhattan with offices located on the Upper East Side, Midtown and Union Square and the Financial District. Our practice is affiliated with NY Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell. Job details:

• 100% Adult medicine

• Full time, outpatient clinic position in established Gastroenterology Practice

• Perform outpatient consultations and provide medication management for adult patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases

• Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease

• The NP will also be responsible for patient education, documentation, and guiding the management of patient care

• APP who can demonstrate appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills and has the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions.

Requirements:

• Nurse Practitioner – Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.

• License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) in the State of NY Required

• Certification: BLS/CPR certification required

Experience:

Prior APN experience in GI highly preferred, Internal Medicine or Family Practice Experience of at least 2 years required
