Job description

Manhattan Gastroenterology is seeking an experienced and strategic health care Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee all financial operations across our growing network of healthcare practices. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, solutions-driven financial leader with deep experience in healthcare finance, who can support organizational growth, ensure fiscal health, and provide strategic insight to executive leadership as well as participation in operations related to growth.

Responsibilities:

● Lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the organization.

● Analyze financial data to support business growth, operational efficiency, and informed decision- making.

● Develop and implement financial strategies and policies to support the organization’s mission and goals.

● Develop and maintain a comprehensive framework of financial policies, standards and practices that will ensure an appropriate level of consistent financial control, in line with Board and executive expectations and regulatory requirements.

● Oversee accounting, billing, revenue cycle management, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Supervise accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.

● Identify risks and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

● Monitor and manage cash flow, manage financial risk, and ensure the integrity of financial information.

● Ensures compliance with federal, state and city financial policies and regulations which includes but not limited to OMH, OASAS, ACS, NYSDOH, NYCDOH, Medicare, Medicaid, tax filings, audits and reporting requirements.

● Collaborate closely with the CEO and senior leadership to align financial strategies with organizational goals. Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic and financial plans.

● Work with external auditors to complete annual audits, prepare financial statements and tax filings, and other required reporting.

● Plans, directs, and manages the overall financial operations, which includes but not limited to displaying proactiveness to financial policies, accounting practices, forecasting, internal controls, auditing, budgeting and financial planning.

● Establish good rapport and maintain good work relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.

● Ensure timely and accurate preparation of internal and external financial reports.

● Manage relationships with banks, auditors, insurance companies, and other financial institutions.

● Support strategic initiatives including practice expansion, mergers, or acquisitions.

● Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team. Set department goals and regularly assess performance metrics.

Compensation:

$200,000.00 - $275,000.00

Skills & Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.

● CPA certification is required

● Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial leadership and experience in healthcare

● Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management, medical billing, and insurance reimbursement.

● Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

● Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

● Proficiency with financial software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
