Endoscopy Technician - Midtown Endoscopy & Surgical Center

Midtown Endoscopy & Surgical Center is searching for an endoscopy technician to join our Gastroenterology team. The endoscopy technician will assist with the Endoscopy room and patient preparation, processing instrumentation, patient transport and other related duties.

Job Responsibilities’

• Assist physicians and during endoscopic procedures

• Prepare and set up procedure rooms with appropriate instruments and equipment

• Perform cleaning, high-level disinfection (HLD), and reprocessing of endoscopes and accessories according to established protocols

• Restock rooms, linens, supplies.

• Assists with the collection of specimens and prepares specimens for cytology, microbiology, and pathology.

• Operate and maintain Automated Endoscope Preprocessors (AERs)

• Monitor and document scope tracking, reprocessing logs, and quality control checks

• Assist with patient positioning and provide support before, during, and after procedures

• Handle, label, and transport specimens to the appropriate lab (cytology, pathology, microbiology)

• Perform routine safety checks and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed
