Job description
Midtown Endoscopy & Surgical Center is a Joint Commission–accredited ambulatory surgery center affiliated with Manhattan Gastroenterology, a 14-physician gastroenterology practice in New York City. We are hiring an ASC Manager to run the center's day-to-day non-clinical operations.

Position summary
The ASC Manager runs the business side of a busy, accredited endoscopy center: daily operations, compliance and quality reporting, inventory and supply chain, and the non-clinical team. The manager works closely with the Director of Nursing and clinical leadership, with real ownership and visible impact.
Reports to: Director of ASC Operations
Works closely with: Director of Nursing, Practice Quality Assurance and clinical leadership
Location: On-site at Midtown Endoscopy & Surgical Center (Midtown Manhattan)
Job type: Full-time, exempt
Key responsibilities
Center operations
Manage daily operations, coordinating with the Director of Nursing on clinical workflow, case scheduling, room turnover and on-time first-case starts.
Manage vendor relationships, service contracts and equipment maintenance schedules.
Coordinate facility maintenance, safety rounds and environment-of-care requirements.
Compliance and quality
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly compliance metrics, logs and reports for a Joint Commission–accredited facility.
Keep the center survey-ready through documentation review, mock tracers, current policies, and licensure and accreditation records.
Partner with Quality Assurance on QAPI, incident tracking and corrective action, and track infection prevention, reprocessing and equipment competency records with clinical staff.
Support credentialing and privileging file maintenance.
Special projects
Lead projects assigned by leadership across Midtown Endoscopy & Surgical Center and Manhattan Gastroenterology that improve efficiency, patient experience and growth.
Take projects from idea to results: analyze the current process, recommend improvements, coordinate the teams involved and track outcomes.
Examples include streamlining scheduling and patient flow, reducing costs, launching new services and supporting expansion.
Inventory and supply chain
Own inventory management, including par levels, cycle counts, reorder points, expiration dates and recalls.
Manage purchasing, receiving and vendor pricing for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals and general supplies.
Control supply cost per case, find savings without compromising clinical standards, and reconcile invoices against the supply budget.
Non-clinical team
Hire, train, schedule and manage front desk, registration and other non-clinical staff, including overtime and cross-training.
Set and enforce standards for patient check-in, intake and discharge coordination.
Resolve patient service issues and own the front-end patient experience.
Qualifications
Required
3+ years of management experience, preferably in healthcare.
Hands-on experience with inventory management and supply cost control.
Experience managing non-clinical staff.
Strong organizational skills and comfort building and maintaining recurring reports.

Preferred
Ambulatory surgery center or endoscopy center experience.
Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation standards and survey readiness.
Experience with QAPI, infection prevention tracking or credentialing.
Compensation and benefits
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, based on experience
